WELCOME NEW SWIMMERS

WAIVER + DUES

All swimmers swim at your own risk. Please know your own limits. MOWSA regular swimmers need to sign a waiver for insurance purposes. You can find the waiver on this website under: WAIVER.

Download and sign then bring to practice or  send an image or .pdf to: yousuf.dalal@gmail.com

Seasonal dues are $20/person.  For the whole season!  Helps to cover costs like this website.

QUALIFYING SWIM FOR EVENTS

You need to be an experienced and competent swimmer to swim in the open water.  Currents, tides and water temp create conditions that are more difficult than one can see with the naked eye. If you are new to the group and not currently a member of NBA, we would like you to do a qualifying practice swim with at least one MOWSA member.

PADDLERS

Spread the word about MOWSA. We’re always adding to our list of paddlers/support boats. If you know of anyone who would like to support us, please send me an email with his/her name, cell, and email. juliemjay@gmail.com.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

Here are some details for new members. You must:

  1. Sign and submit the MOWSA waiver.
  2. Pay $20 dues - for the whole season, the best deal in the Bay Area.
  3. Be a qualified member to swim in events if you're new to the Bay or MOWSA.
  4. Try to be humble and kind. Slightly irreverent is always preferred!!
